Lifting a former retail space to meet FEMA standards
Originally a candy shop on Nantasket Avenue, this structure was re-purposed as two residential units. The current owner wanted to lift the structure creating a garage and workshop beneath.
Given its beach proximity several goals are being accomplished simultaneously – lifting the building, meeting FEMA standards, and preserving ocean views – all to the delight of the owner.
Renovations include:
Exterior skin replacement
Window replacement
New program layouts
Back deck design
